prilikom koraka ./octave.Slackbuild mi javlja ovu grešku:

this script, you'll need to install TeX (if you don't have it) or change
your PATH or TEX environment variable (if you do).  See the --help

you happen to be using Debian, you can get it with this command:

Što mi je činiti?

Prema ovom linku problem je prebacivanje na root nalog sa "su" umjesto "su -". Znači, prebaci se sa "su -", pa onda pokreni SlackBuild.

Iz SlackBuilds HOWTO-a, tačka br. 3:

Note that for many builds, you will need to have a true login shell in order to have a correctly populated environment. Among other things, /usr/share/texmf/bin will not be in your PATH if you simply do "su" -- therefore, you will need to either use "su -l" when switching to root, or source the /etc/profile script after doing "su", or perhaps modifying /root/.bashrc to include necessary PATH elements.

Da, to je moj post na LQ baš odavno... elem, poenta skripta koji sam pustio tamo je da uštedi vreme prilikom sledećeg kompajliranja, jer pre TeX greške, Octave je gotovo kompajliran, a početak prevođenja nakon su -l će pokrenuti sve de novo.Da se citiram sa lq

To skip recompiling all prior source, I have decided to comment parts of the SB script connected with preparations and configurations steps, so the script could just continue make process. First, of course, updated PATH as PATH=$PATH:/usr/share/texmf/bin. And this is how it looks like, if someone faces same problem and want to escape entire Octave recompiling... As mentioned, this script just continues process if original script fails with TeX.
