Stigle mi na posao 2 nove mašine sa ovom integrušom i na obe imam isti problem sa Slackware14.0/XFce/KDE

Sve je super dok ne dođem do X-a, onda počinje delimično iscrtavanje slike na ekranu i tako se dešava nekih 2 do 5 minuta, nakon čega (bar na jednom računaru) sve proradi kako treba.

Interesantno je da java aplet za mrežni čet (spark) ne trpi ovo.

Probao sam da čačkam po xorg.conf, ali nije pomoglo ni da stavim vesa drajvere (blank screen) niti da napamet nabadam drajvere tipa i810 i915 (prepisivao sa raznih foruma).
Nisam ništa dodavao/oduzimao u lilo.conf-u jer u suštini imam ispis na ekranu, samo je faličan :) dok se ne "zagreje".

Elem, evo 2 slike na čega to liči, pa ko ima ideju neka uskače u pomoć :)

Ima li šta zanimljivo u izlazu dmesg ili u /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Možeš ih grepovati za error (grep -i "error") ili grepovati izlaz dmesg za drm, kms, i915, intel.

Edit:
U "srodnim temama" (na dnu strane) imaš dve teme o problemima sa i915. Baci pogled i na neku od njih.

E vako.... sad radi i blankovanje ekrana, posle nekog vremena skoro totalno izgubim odziv ekrana a on žmirka u crno, pa se vrati, ali u sporom ritmu... daje sliku npr. 5-8 sekundi, pa zacrni na 2 sekunde.... a tako se ponaša i u shell-u (prebacivanjem iz X-a u shell sa ctrl+alt+F1)

Registrovan jesam :) teme video.. probao bez efekta. Uradio upgrade kernela na .45 ni to nije pomoglo. Ponovo poterao xorgconf ... opet isto... jedino mi se više ne "blankuje" slika... ali i dalje slika onakva.....
Nemam više vremena za eksperimentisanje.... za jedno sat vremena stavljam Mint... na kom iz Live-a sve radi kao bombona.

Problem nije rešen, tako da neću stavljati [REŠENO] u naslov jer nije :(

Što se tiče Intel i915, drajveri su i generalno ruski rulet: zavisi koja je verzija u pitanju. Bilo je problema sa njima na 14.0 i ima par tema na LinuxQuestions. Predložio sam ti da se igraš sa podešavanjima pošto se sećam da je to jednom rešilo problem. Ali ima tu šta još da se proba ako to ne bi uspelo. Mislim da je u "extra" grupi paketa noviji drm i intel drajver, a sećam se da je neko to rešio upgrade-om na Xorg 1.14 (koji inače dolazi sa Slackom 14.1 koji ti uporno izbegavaš).

A što nisi probao Slack 14.1, nego odmah Mint? Malo mi je to čudno da toliko insistiraš na Slacku < 14.1, a onda instaliraš Mint. Ako je u pitanju poslednja verzija, softverske komponente su verovatno bliže 14.1, nego onima iz 14.0.

Nemam informacija o razlikama i sličnostima između verzija libdrm i mesa. Ali u svakom slučaju je za takve mašine 14.1 bolji izbor od 14.0.

Mislim, Mint je ok distribucija. Ali samo kažem da si mogao da probaš očiglednije rešenje. :) Distro hopping kao rešenje za bilo koji problem mi nije preterano blisko. I to još distro hop na distro koji je po specifikacijama prilično sličan "očiglednom rešenju".

Započeo sam proces migracije na 14.0 i sad već kad su računari na stolovima.... da opet sedam i gazim..... odraće me :D
Za ovo mi je trebalo hitno rešenje, kolega imao mint pri ruci, probao ... radi... i sad na ova 2 koja završavam ide mint. Nemam vremena da se igram sa tim.

Probao sam i sa novim kernelom... za 14.0 i ništa... ista meta isto odstojanje. Dao sam da se update-uju i exclude paketi... (slapt-get) bilo je tu i nešto oko x-a.. makar xfonts :), ali avaj... onakva slika ostade.

Ova dva će mi biti priča za sebe, ali šta je tu je...
